Sep 11,  · Christmas has been marked in Ireland since St. Patrick brought Christianity to the island in the fifth century. Over the centuries, pagan Celtic customs merged with Christianity to produce some unique traditions for the winter festival.

Windham Hill continued its “Celtic Christmas” series with this fourth album. As other reviewers noted, there is far more “Celtic” than “Christmas” here but the album is lovely. Fans of Nightnoise will enjoy this album since the band and its various members are responsible for half the album including the charming “Whiter than Snow.”/5(16).
